Medication Take Back Day

Is your medicine cabinet full of expired, unused or unwanted medications?

Dispose of them safely on Saturday, October 29th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  Drop off prescription and over-the-counter medications in their original containers at the Niles, Park Ridge or Des Plaines Police Stations. Do NOT remove labels. Personal information (name, address, doctor) should be crossed out, but information about the medication should be legible.

Protect your family and our environment! Abuse of prescription and over-the-counter drugs commonly found in homes, especially by teens and young adults, is on the rise. Removing medications from the home reduces availability for young people, helps eliminate abuse, and keeps our water supply clean from improperly disposed drugs.
