Republican Women of Park Ridge will host a kickoff event for the new season Sept. 19 at the South Park Recreation Center, 833 Talcott Road, Park Ridge.
A salad-bar luncheon for RWOPR members will be at noon and doors open to the public at 12:45 p.m. Admission is free, but guests are asked to bring nonperishable food items or grocery gift-card certificates in support of Operation Homefront, which assists military families in need.
The featured speaker will be WLS-AM radio personality, political commentator and Operation Homefront Illinois Chapter President Dan Poft.
