PEER Services is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. PEER Services provides community-based substance use prevention and treatment services to teens, adults and families in Northern Cook County, including Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. PEER Services reduces the harms of substance use, addiction and stigma by engaging youth and adults with innovative prevention programming and by supporting people on their path to recovery through holistic, evidence-based treatment. We provide affirming services to all in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Our Programs: Adult Treatment: •	Individual &amp; Group Counseling •	Intensive Outpatient Program •	Medication-Assisted Recovery for Heroin, Opioid Use or Alcohol Use Disorders •	Case Management •	DUI Risk Education &amp; Aftercare •	Alcohol and Other Drug Evaluations •	Recovery Support Specialists •	Recovery Oriented Systems of Care Coalition •	Substance Use Crisis Support at The Living Room (Evanston) •	Partnerships with the United States Probation Office and the Cook County Skokie Court House through our Second Chances Program Adolescent Treatment: •	Early intervention education •	Individual counseling •	Family Support Prevention Services: PEER Services prevention department partners with schools, local non-profit organizations, businesses, local coalitions, and others to help support the community to act as a united front in substance use prevention (SUP) and mental health support. We provide presentations, trainings, and resources for youth, parents, community members, local organizations, and other community entities on topics such as Alcohol, Cannabis, Current substance trends, Fentanyl, Life Skills Training, Decision Making, Peer Pressure, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Opioid Overdose, Prescription Medications, Tobacco, and Vaping

As part of the global Toastmasters International organization, District 30 empowers people to build confidence, strengthen communication, and develop leadership skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Members don’t just study communication and leadership concepts—they actively practice them through structured meetings, real-time feedback, and leadership opportunities that mirror real-world challenges. From first-time speakers finding their voice to experienced professionals refining their executive presence, District 30 provides a space where growth is both intentional and measurable. Beyond individual development, District 30 fosters strong community connections. Membership is open to adults 18 and older. Youth Leadership programs are periodically offered for those under 18.

The Fair Allocation in Runways (FAiR) Coalition has been invited once again to be on our region's premiere community news show - Chicago Tonight. FAiR will appear live on Wednesday, December 19 at 7pm on Channel 11 (PBS). More information about FAiR can be found at <a href="http://www.fairchicago.org/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">www.fairchicago.org</a>. We are also on Facebook and Twitter. I invite you to join FAiR! We are the leading voice for residents in both the city and suburbs impacted by the October 2013 changes made to the O'Hare runway takeoff and landing patterns. Those changes were made without any real community input. In addition, FAiR now includes Midway airport. Changes were made there in February 2014. Not surprsingly, these changes were made without any real community input. We seek a real seat at the airport decision making table in order to find solutions to the massive increase in planes, noise and pollution over our communities, again done without any real community input. Morton Grove Historical Museum

Now open, our new exhibit features bridal gowns and the history of the floral industry in Morton Grove. Wedding dresses from the 1800’s to the 1950’s are on display, including greenhouse histories from the Poehlmann’s to the Lochner’s.
The museum is open the third Sunday of each month and during the week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10am – 3pm.
