Forest Preserve Social Distancing Campaign

Those enjoying the Cook County Forest Preserves during the pandemic can use an orienteering app to track movements.

In an effort to maintain proper Center for Disease Control (www.cdc.gov) mandated social distancing requirements, the Cook County Forest Preserve has implemented a program that includes signs and a hotline to call to report crowded conditions.

Signs are posted as well as having a hotline for people to call if they feel distancing is not being maintained or if areas of the park become overly congested during this outbreak and subsequent lock down period.

Many people are out and about enjoying one the few public and private spaces still available for Illinois residents who have been ordered by Governor J.B. Pritzker's executive order to stay home and avoid large public gatherings.
