Golf Maine Park District Hosts "Twinkling Stars of 2015" Dance Recital

GMPD Dancers Show Off Skills and Talent at Annual Recital

Golf Maine Park District (GMPD) has held an annual dance recital since 1992. Held on June 19 in The Galaxy Theatre at the Apollo School in unincorporated Des Plaines, this year’s recital had a theme of “Twinkling Stars of 2015”.

There was a variety review of 14 dances showcasing the talents of 31 “stars” ranging in age from 2 years old to adult. Over 150 attended the recital, according to Sandra-Jane Dajani, GMPD’s Dance Director.

Summer dance classes are starting now. Students will be working toward a winter recital of “The Nutcracker”.
