Introducing the June & July Newsletter

Here's what you will find in the first MGPL newsletter fully created from home.

By Karina Guico, the Lead Graphic Designer at the Morton Grove Public Library.

It is with great excitement that I introduce to you the June & July issue of the Library newsletter!

I could not be more proud of this issue and of my coworkers, who worked from home scheduling events, writing articles, editing information, and designing graphics—all while adjusting to tight deadlines and last-minute requests.
It is a strong testament to how much our staff want to provide services and experiences to patrons during this time, even while our physical building is closed.
Here is what you will find in this issue.

Summer Reading Program

As our executive director Pam Leffler writes in her cover article, the Summer Reading Program will look a little different this year compared to previous years.
With the theme "Dig Deeper: Read, Investigate, Discover", this year's program features yet another great logo and graphic style created by our graphic designer Bettina. The newsletter explains how you can participate starting June 1, and we'll also share more about it in a future blog post.
In a first for us, this issue also includes the youth program reading log and a coloring page that we encourage you to cut out from the newsletter to use throughout the summer. Don't forget to share your coloring page online using the hashtag #mgplsummer!

Other highlights

Along with select upcoming events, this issue features:

I hope you enjoy this issue as much as I enjoyed designing it. Please let us know what you think at engagement@mgpl.org.
