A Mount Prospect man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing at Des Plaines Burger King last week.

According to Des Plaines police, the attack occurred shortly before 6p.m. Wednesday, December 29, during a confrontation outside the restaurant in the 800 block of South Elmhurst Road.

Antonio Solorio, 42 of Mount Prospect chased Mario Jara-Antemante, 28, also of Mount Prospect into the eatery and stabbed him, police said, noting the men knew each other and had several acquaintances in common.

Investigators were able to identify Solorio through witness accounts and surveillance. He was taken into custody Friday afternoon outside a relative’s home in Streamwood and gave a full confession, according to police, who said he was charged Sunday morning with first degree murder and will await a detention hearing.
