Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce Swears In New Officers and Directors
The Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors for 2016 were sworn into office on December 3, 2015 at the Annual Holiday Party
The Chamber’s Annual Holiday Party meeting was a huge success with over 120 leaders from the local business community along with representatives from government and civic organizations in attendance. As part of the tradition, the new board for next year was sworn in at the event. Donations will be made to both the Niles and Maine Township Food Pantries from the Chamber with the proceeds from the evening’s fund raising.
The 2016 Officers and Board of Directors are as follows:

Newly elected President Mark Albers outlined his goals for the 90th Anniversary Year of the Morton Grove Chamber after the ceremony, which was part of the Annual Holiday Party Meeting held on December 3, 2015, held at the American Legion Post #134 on Dempster Street in Morton Grove.
Mark Albers said that he would like to see the MGCCI establish a closer relationship with the residents of Morton Grove. He stated “Building a stronger connection with our residents will only enhance the Chamber’s ability to foster commerce throughout our community.”
President Albers went on to outline his goals for the new year as follows:
1. To re-establish the Chamber Expo that was a success in introducing local business to residents
2. Bring back an annual recognition of outstanding individuals and businesses
3. Revive other Morton Grove traditions like “Santa Coming to Town”
In closing, Mr. Albers said “Having positive, distinctive activities in a community help to make positive things happen in that community.”
Founded in 1926, the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry is dedicated to promoting and advocating for the local business community to ensure the continued economic, cultural and civic well-being of Morton Grove.
