This year, we are partnering with the Morton Grove Park District for combined Spring Market / Park Pride Day activities.
The Farmers’ Market will be open special hours:

Park View Band 9:30 - 10:30 am The Morton Grove School District 70 Park View School’s Concert Band is made up of talented 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and directed by Barb Saks.

Morton Grove Park District volunteers will clean up our local parks for Park Pride Day!

The Morton Grove Historical Museum and Education Center will be opening a new exhibit “Recreation and Leisure in Morton Grove 1895 - present.”

Join us on a
Working Farm Visit and Pot Luck
at Wright Way Farm
in Beloit, WI on Saturday, May 16th from 1:30 - 6:00 pm.
Please come along with us on a farm visit at a real working organic farm. Last year, several of our MGFM committee members visited Denny and Susan Wright to tour the farm, work in the fields and enjoy a pot luck dinner. This year, we thought we’d invite all of you to join us as well!

You’ll need to wear comfortable clothing; sun hat and garden gloves optional. Please bring a dish to share.
Carpools are leaving our market site at 12 noon. All ages are welcome.

Upcoming Events:
** Saturday, May 9th is the Mother’s Day Market, the first outdoor market of 2015. Special Hours: 8 am - 1 pm!
** The regular season will begin on Saturday, June 6th and continue weekly through October.
** On Opening Day, Saturday, June 6th, we will be open our regular hours: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
- Musician Gene Lim will perform from 8:00-9:00 am to raise funds for Feed My Starving Children.
- Opening Ceremonies will start at 9:30 am with a flag ceremony followed by a brief welcome from our Village President. Mayor DiMaria will introduce our partners, the Village of Morton Grove, the Morton Grove Park District and the MG Chamber of Commerce to help kick off another wonderful season.
- We will feature performances by the School District 67’s Golf Jr. High Jazz Band and Show Chorus. The Golf students will perform the National Anthem immediately after the flag ceremony.
- Community Group on hand: Bike Morton Grove - This new group will offer helmet fittings and a raffle with Advocate / Lutheran General Hospital, tire pumping lessons, tips on how to lock up your bike effectively, and much more.
- Community Group on hand: Pat Reband of the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners
