On May 9, 2014, members of the Mount Prospect Lions Club will gather with family, friends, and dignitaries to look back on a storied past of volunteering. The club will celebrate its 80th Charter Anniversary with a dinner dance at Manzo's Banquets, 1571 S. Elmhurst Road, Des Plaines, Illinois beginning at 6 p.m. The guest speaker for the evening will be Lion Van C. Stone, Lions of Illinois Foundation Executive Administrator.
The Mount Prospect Lions Club 80th Anniversary Dinner Dance is open to the general public. The cost is $40 per person at the door which includes cocktails (cash bar) and hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m., followed by a family-style dinner featuring London Broil Ajus and Boneless Chicken Breast Pecan with Herb Sauce at 7 p.m. There will be dancing until midnight.
