National Readathon Day

Morton Grove Public Library is sponsoring a National Readathon Day on May 21st from 10am-3pm.

At the library, every day is a reading day, but during National Readathon Day, we are making it easy for everyone to find some time for marathon reading and play. Come in on May 21st to participate in a variety of bookish activities: listen to a story, get cool book suggestions, take a picture with your favorite book, win bookish prizes, and read, read, read.

Throughout the day, there are scheduled activities, but feel free to grab a book, find a place to read, and stay all day. The following is the schedule for the day:

Kids’ Reading Party (10am-12pm):

10am: Center Stage Storytime (All Ages)

11am: Comic Book Readers Theatre

10am-12pm: Crafts, activities, book giveaways, snacks, and, of course, reading.

Reading Party for Adults and Teens (1-3PM):

1:30pm: Bookish Trivia

2pm: Book Swoon Club

2:30pm: Adult/Teen Storytime

1-3PM: Bookish crafts, puzzles, e-book petting zoo, Sound Advice audio bar, picture, snacks, book raffles, and a ridiculous amount of reading.
