Niles-Maine District Library Closes Through End of March

Limited services will be available Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Niles-Maine District Library will be closed end of business on Saturday, March 14 through Tuesday, March 31 in response to recent public health recommendations, including the declaration of a global pandemic from the World Health Organization (WHO).

Limited services will be available Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will continue to fulfill material holds and patrons can pick them up via curbside pickup. Due to other libraries in our reciprocal borrowing system being closed, materials coming from those libraries may take longer than usual. Residents can continue to call us at 847-663-1234 with reference questions. Tax forms will also be available for pickup during these limited hours.

The Library is a polling place and will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for registered voters on Tuesday, March 17. Please enter on the north side of the building to cast your votes.

All programs are cancelled and passport services will not be available through Tuesday, March 31.

Should patrons wish to return library materials, excluding hotspots and other technology, only the outside return drop off will be accessible. Hotspots and other technology items may be returned in the Vestibule between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
