Niles-Maine District Library: Niles-Maine District Library Staff Came Together To Participate In Annual Community Thanksgiving Donation

The Niles-Maine District Library staff members gave back to the community with their 10th annual Thanksgiving donation to Niles Family Services on Wednesday, November 17.

Staff members donated non-perishable goods and over $400 worth of grocery store gift cards to help Niles area families enjoy a Thanksgiving meal this year. Non-perishable goods including stuffing, bread mix, mixed vegetables, sweet potatoes, and other Thanksgiving favorites were donated. All funds and goods were donated by library staff members. New this year, library staff members donated toiletries and 100 pairs of new socks to Niles Family Services.

The effort started in 2011 when the Library Director at the time heard that Niles Family Services needed more goods to help feed families in the community during the holidays.
