The Niles-Maine District Library is closed through Thursday, April 30, 2020. Out of an abundance of caution, all in-person programs are cancelled and passport services will not be available through the end of May.

Among the things that the Library considered in making this decision was Governor Pritzker's extension of the stay-at-home order.

Patrons should hold onto their library materials until the Library reopens. As previously announced, the Library is officially fine free starting Wednesday, April 1 though no overdue fines have been charged since the Library closed.

"We look forward to being able to serve the community in person once the pandemic is past, but in the meantime we hope our residents are finding ways to access the Library online through our digital resources," said Executive Director, Susan Dove Lempke.

Niles-Maine cardholders will continue to be able to access online resources, movie and music streaming services, ebooks downloads, and more on the Library’s website 24/7. For more information, visit www.nileslibrary.org/explore.
