Niles Mayor, Trustees Sworn In

Mayor Andrew Przybylo and Trustees Matyas, Jekot and Alpogianis were sworn in Tuesday.

 

The Niles board of trustees room was filled to capacity May 14 as Mayor Andrew Przybylo and Trustees George Alpogianis, Danette Matyas and John Jekot were sworn in.

The Honorable Anthony C. Kyriakopoulos, Circuit Cook County judge, first swore in the three trustees, and the Honorable Aurelia Pucinski, Illinois Appellate Court Judge, swore in the mayor.

Outgoing Mayor Robert Callero handed the gavel over to  Przybylo, and the new mayor invited those in attendance, who were mainly friends and family of the new officials, to a cake and coffee reception in the lobby of village hall. The meeting resumed about 40 minutes later.
