No Imaginary Red Lines, No Idle Rhetoric.

President Obama has lost much of the respect and confidence of the American  Military personnel, I served in the military during the early sixties, the president at that time was John Kennedy he not only earned the confidence of the American Military but also most of the free world by standing up to the Soviet Union. Out of frustration the Soviets constructed the Berlin Wall dividing that great city and it's people. The Soviets occupied East Berlin and the west consisting of America, England and France were west of the wall.

To demonstrate further resolve President Kennedy sent an American Battle Group of infantry from the First Division, " The Big Red One" into Berlin to reinforce the Berlin Brigade. Greatly outnumbered by Soviet Forces the west willingly stood tall under the leadership of President Kennedy.

In October of 1962, it was discovered that the Soviet Union installed ICBM  launch sites in Cuba in collaboration with Fidel Castro. President Kennedy cautioned Russia's Nikita Khruschev to dismantle the sites, Khruschev refused.

When it was learned the Russian ships carrying ICBM's were in route to Cuba President Kennedy ordered a naval blockade while at the same time placing the Berlin Brigade on full alert. although greatly outnumbered we drew on President Kennedy's strength and prepared to hold our ground.

The powerful Nikita Khruschev backed down to the resolute American President  and his warships. President Kennedy never waivered nor blinked, his message to the Soviet's was clear, their antics would not be tolerated.
