Performance: My Name is Will

My Name is Will is a theatrical adaptation of thirty-five of Shakespeare’s sonnets accompanied by songs from eight of his plays. The performance takes the audience on an intricate journey through the many dimensions of the sonnets, whereas the songs from Shakespeare’s plays provide a counterpoint to the themes explored. With an original score by Chris Walz, the music is the perfect complement to the Bard’s poetry and lyrics.

The adaptation is by Peter Garino, Artistic Director of The Shakespeare Project of Chicago.
