MORTON GROVE, IL — The following is a record of incidents reported to the Morton Grove Police Department and a list of those arrested. Readers are reminded criminal charges represent merely accusations and all persons arrested are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

On June 12, a patron of Menards, 6301 Oakton St., told police someone broke into his van while he was inside the store and stole multiple tools.

FRAUD

On June 13, a resident in the 7500 block of Lyons Street told police a pop-up window had appeared on her computer purporting to offer a Microsoft computer fix. The resident told police they followed the instructions presented by the pop-ups and entered her credit card numbers. Two cards were charged and Chase Bank notified the resident of fraudulent activity before the accounts were closed.

FRAUD

On June 13, a resident in the 9300 block of Waukegan Road told police someone had used a skimming device to obtain his debit card information and steal money from his account.

THEFT

On June 17, a resident in the 8700 block of Georgiana Avenue told police someone had stolen their son's bicycle from their driveway.

STOLEN VEHICLE

On June 18, a person reported someone stole a tractor and trailer that had been parked in the parking lot at Menards, 6301 Oakton St.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A resident in the 7900 block of Maple reported that someone had shot a metal BB through their front window on June 20. Police said there was a hole in an outer pane of glass and a BB was found between the inner and outer window panes.

ARRESTS

WARRANT

Zachary W. Alvarez, 20, of the 8700 block of National Avenue in Niles, was pulled over for a traffic violation around the intersection of Church Street and Oriole Avenue on June 17. Police found he had an active warrant out of Glenview and placed him under arrest.

WARRANT

Ljuban Juric, 68, of the 9300 block of Normandy Avenue, was arrested June 15 around the intersection of Lehigh Avenue and Lincoln Street after he had contact with a Metra Police Office. Police said he was turned over to the Morton Grove Police Department for an active warrant.
