Programs Available During Temporary Library Closure

While MGPL is closed 12/29 - 1/11 the Baxter Room will be open for several scheduled programs.

Morton Grove Public Library will be closed beginning Monday, December 29, and will reopen on Monday, January 12, 2015, at 9 am in order to accommodate the next phase of construction and to ensure safety of patrons and staff.

The Baxter Room will be open for evening and weekend programs scheduled during this time:

  • Saturday, January 3rd, 2 pm: Screening of Citizen Kane (1941, NR, 2 hrs.)
  • Tuesday, January 6th, 7 pm: Mother-Daughter Book Club for Grades 3-4: Discussion of Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin
  • Wednesday, January 7th, 6 pm: Teen DIY Crafts: Glass Etching
  • Friday, January 9th, 7 pm: MGPL Concert After Dark by the Flutarians
  • Saturday, January 10th, 10 am: Crafting for Charity

Monthly book talks are held at the American Legion Memorial Civic Center, 6140 Dempster Street. On Wednesday, January 7 at 1 pm, join us for It’s Never Too Late for A Change.
