Rheumatology Specialist Joins Illinois Bone & Joint Institute

New addition to the specialist team at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute-Morton Grove

Rheumatology specialist Alejandra Rodriguez-Paez, MD, has joined the team at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI). Dr. Rodriguez is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine. She specializes in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, gout, Sjögren’s syndrome, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoporosis, vasculitis and other connective tissue diseases.

Dr. Rodriguez works closely with her patients to develop effective, highly individualized approaches to care that may include medications, physical therapy, exercise, diet and more. With a focus on managing rheumatologic care for the long-term and customizing treatment plans for each patient, she presents options that range from conservative to aggressive, helping patients evaluate and choose treatment plans that will help them achieve their best function.

Born in Colombia, Dr. Rodriguez speaks Spanish fluently and ranked 1st among 153 students in her medical school class. She completed her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in rheumatology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.
