Robots, 3D Printing & More Featured at 3rd Annual Maker Fest
The Niles-Maine District Library is hosting its Third Annual Maker Fest on Saturday, November 10 from 12-3:30pm.
Niles-Maine District Library is hosting its Third Annual Maker Fest on Saturday, November 10 from 12-3:30 p.m. Maker Fest features hobbyists, crafters, local businesses, and other DIYers in the community including The Home Depot, Northside Comic Artists, ChiBots, American Science and Surplus, Stampin Up, and many more. It’s a free event and open to all ages.
More than 700 people attended last year’s event—up from the inaugural year’s 400. Attendees who complete the activity map will get a chance to win a free museum pass. Maker Fest attendees will be able to tinker with hands-on activities and watch demonstrations which include:
- Robots in action
- Making your own comic
- Collaborating on a wooden sculpture
- The art of paper modeling
- 3D printing demonstration
- Lock picking
- Post-It art
- And much more!

Niles-Maine District Library is located at 6960 Oakton Street, the northeast corner of the Oakton and Waukegan intersection. Library hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am to 9pm, Friday, 9am to 7pm, Saturday, 9am to 5pm and Sunday, 1 to 5 pm.
