SJB teens mission trip focuses on service, faith and fellowship

Teens and chaperones from St. John Brebeuf recently returned from a mission trip that focused on service, faith and fellowship.
Ten teens and four chaperones from St. John Brebeuf Church, 8307 N. Harlem Avenue, Niles, have recently returned from a mission trip to St. Louis. Focusing on service, faith and fellowship, the group worked at a local YMCA where they ran games for children in day care, worked in their community garden, cleaned up locker rooms and helped at their car wash.

The trip also included work at a local park where they cleaned up brush, weeds and invasive plants. “We are proud of the youth at SJB. Everywhere they worked, our teens were appreciated and admired for their work ethic and compassion for others. They are the future of our church and our community,” said Fr. Michael G. Meany, pastor.
