Skokie Park District Allows Tennis
Skokie park district has left tennis courts OPEN!!

The village of Skokie has chosen to leave it's tennis courts open during the COVID-19 outbreak, which is unusual as other towns like Morton Grove and Niles have chosen to close the tennis courts, in spite of the social distancing being very easily accomplished with this sport.
The following has been taken directly from the Skokie Park District's website:
The Skokie Park District 5.1.20 – Tennis Court guidelines:
The Skokie Park District has allowed the district’s tennis courts to remain open, as social distancing guidelines are easily followed while playing this particular sport. Keeping the courts open provides families and people who are sheltering together a recreational outlet that easily separates participants by more than six feet. However, while playing doubles, social distancing can be more difficult and is discouraged unless wearing a face mask. In addition, no other activities are allowed on district tennis courts. As always, dogs are never allowed on tennis courts.
Please, while using any of the district’s parks, tennis courts or the Weber Park Golf Course, remember to maintain a 6-foot distance from others and wash your hands or use hand sanitizer often during play. The Skokie Park District wants all residents to remain safe and healthy during this pandemic.
