SJB Concert Celebrates Easter and Honors Rev. Stanley Rudcki

Over 1,000 people enjoyed the March 20 concert at St. John Brebeuf in Niles as the music series celebrated the Easter season with Mozart's Requiem, K.626 led by Music Director Marek Rachelski, standing center.

The Musica Lumina concert performed by the Niles Metropolitan Chorus and the Musica Lumina Orchestra was the last of three Rudcki commemorative concerts given this season.
The Rudcki commemorative concerts were established in honor of the legacy of the Rev. Stanley Rudcki, the former chair of the Niles College of Department of Fine Arts, who founded the Niles Concert Choir and Niles Symphony Orchestra in the 1960s.

Sponsored by Relevant Radio and The Bugle Newspapers, the concert was the sixth in the nine concert 2015-16 series organized by Rachelski. Three more concerts are scheduled for the 2015-16 season. They are Kantorei - The Singing Boys of Rockford on Sunday, April 24 at 3 p.m.; Music from the Slavic World - Chamber Music by Musica Lumina on Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. and the Land of Lakes Choirboys on Tuesday, June 14, at 7 p.m.
