Patrick McCaskey, a member of the Chicago Bears ownership family, addressed over 100 school parents, students and others attending the social night Jan. 31 at St. John Brebeuf, Niles.
The well-attended event concluded Catholic Schools Week which featured a school open house, the opening of a very popular public ice rink on the school lawn, and McCaskey’s talk about what a Catholic education meant to him and the entire McCaskey family. McCaskey was very entertaining with his jokes, family stories and even a little signing.
Here, Pastor Michael Meany, left, points out some of the renovation features of the SJB campus to McCaskey. The massive renovation and upgrade of the SJB campus and buildings will be funded by the capital campaign “To Teach Who Christ is” now underway.
SJB is very welcoming and inclusive. It has one of the strongest music programs in the area, a fine school with a long history of success and many ministries which help a range of people and families in a full range of ways.
