St. John Brebeuf parishioners march in Niles 4th of July parade

"Who are we? SJB!" was the cheer resounding along the parade route when SJB parishioners and school families celebrated America's birthday.

Father Michael Meany, pastor of St. John Brebeuf Church (center) and Dr. Mary Maloney, principal of St. John Brebeuf School (far right) led a group of SJB parishioners and school families in the recent Niles 4th of July parade. The cheer, “Who are we? SJB!” was enthusiastically yelled by Deacon Andy Beierwaltes and other participants along the parade route. A community landmark since construction in 1964, the church at 8307 N. Harlem Avenue has been an integral part of Niles for 65 years.
