The Village has ordinance on the table to give Village residents edge over anyone else on village bids.
Morton Grove will not go with the best price or service on village bids!!! I hear it give a 5% edge to resident owned business.

Current village ordinance requires that the lowest qualified bid be taken. This seemed to upset Trustee Grear last year who wanted to award a contract locally, even though their bid was $900 more.
I believe that should this ordinance pass it would be safe to suggest to the residents that passage of “Billy’s Bill’" will result in the taxpayers once again taking one in the wallet.
