Village of Morton Grove “Week of the Graduate” Celebration

Give them the recognition they deserve!

During the week of May 18 – May 23, Morton Grove visitors and residents might notice a little more color in the Village’s trees. Ribbons of red, purple and blue will adorn trees throughout the community in an effort to recognize and acknowledge all Morton Grove 2020 graduates.

With this effort, Morton Grove joins other communities in the area to celebrate the “Week of the Graduate”. Mayor Dan DiMaria issued a Proclamation during the May 8, 2020 Village Board Meeting saluting the accomplishments of the graduates. In addition, the Mayor encourages all Morton Grove residents to participate in the Make Some Noise for the Class of 2020 public salute scheduled for the night of Wednesday May 20th. At 8:20 pm – (2020 military time) residents are invited to come outdoors to make noise, sing songs, shout congratulations and otherwise salute our graduates for their accomplishments. Schools will also turn on all their lights from 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. to "light up the night".

The Village commends all graduating students and their families for their dedication, sacrifice and diligent work resulting in their commencement. Best wishes for a happy, healthy and successful future.
