A Wild Time for Wildwood Elementary School at McDonald's

Wildwood Elementary School in Chicago held their very first McTeacher's Night Fundraiser at the Chicago McDonald's on Milwaukee Ave.

Wildwood Elementary School in Chicago held their very first McTeacher's Night Fundraiser at the Chicago McDonald's on Milwaukee Ave. A McTeacher's Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers work at McDonald's and then giving a percentage of the night's sales back to the local school. What an amazing night for Wildwood School!
On Wednesday, May 2nd, the restaurant was taken over by forty-two teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families. Principal Dr. Cunat and Wildwood Dean, Coach Steve both worked and came to support the Wildwood staff. Teachers also handed out orders, cleaned tables, served drinks, worked the drive-thru, fries, ice cream and even dressed up in an apple pie costume. Coach Steve, Mr. Peters, and Mrs. Reichert all had a great time dancing around the restaurant during the event in the Pie Box. The Wildwood teachers worked hard selling delicious apple pies all night and had a blast. Miss Daresh, Mr. Peters, and Ms. Jennings all took turns selling pies during the night. The funds earned from the Pie and food sales will go directly to support the music and sports programs at Wildwood.

A special thank you goes to the Friends of Wildwood member Ben Thun who organized the event as well as everyone who worked and attended.
