1 Caterpillar, 75 Puppets Come To Life At Northbrook Theatre
The show will feature adaptations of four popular children's books by author and illustrator Eric Carle.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Believe it or not, 75 puppets are set to take the stage for the upcoming performance of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show," staged by the Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences. The show will feature adaptations of four popular children's books by author and illustrator Eric Carle — "Brown Bear, Brown Bear," "Little Rubber Ducks," "The Very Busy Spider," and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."
Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences productions are performed by professional actors. The show, opening Nov. 17, is geared toward ages 2 and up. Tickets are $17. Performances take place at Northbrook Theatre, located inside the Leisure Center, 3323 Walters Ave. in Northbrook.
According to the Northbrook Park District, the critically acclaimed production created by Jonathan Rockefeller will have all sorts of puppets, including fireflies, apples, pelicans, sheep, octopuses, dogs, pears, polar bears, frogs, dolphins, dogs, salami, seagulls, lollipops, butterflies and many more.

"The show is a unique opportunity for audiences of all ages to reawaken the magic of childhood and experience Eric Carle's timeless stories brought to life on stage," said Kate Sullivan Coombs, director of the play.
The Nov. 16, 23 and 30 performances will be followed by a Caterpillar Crumbs Workshop, a cookie-decorating class for children accompanied by an adult (separate $29 ticket fee per pair).
