NORTHBROOK, IL — Woodrow Wilson was the President of the United States. The Boston Red Sox beat the Chicago Cubs in the World Series. Congress established time zones. World War I ended. These were just a few of the major events of 1918, the same year Northbrook resident Jeanne Jenkins was born.

The 105-year-old recently celebrated her birthday at Covenant Living of Northbrook, the senior living community she has lived at for the past 25 years. Staff tells Patch that Jenkins credits "following Jesus" for her long and healthy life.
