2 TVs Stolen From Northbrook Business: Cops

Purchase of more than $500 made after man's identity stolen.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

IDENTITY THEFT

The victim reported at 9:28 a.m. on February 20 that he discovered that someone used his personal information to open three different credit card accounts. One account, the victim discovered had a charge of over $500. The complainant was able to close all the accounts.

THEFT

The complainant reported at 10:03 a.m. on February 24 discovering two Samsung 58” televisions along with some miscellaneous items missing from the business in the 1800 block of Janke Road. The business has recently been undergoing renovations and the TV’s had been stored in a location within the business. Officers are investigating.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED

Justin J. Sorrentino, 30, Chicago was stopped at Dundee and Waukegan roads at 10:56 p.m. on February 21 and charged with driving while license suspended, no insurance and failure to secure new registration.
