$39K Watch Stolen From Fitness Center Locker: Northbrook Police Blotter
Police also reported DUI arrests, domestic battery charges, online theft and order of protection violations.
NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and arrests made by police. An arrest or charge is not a finding of guilt.
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Ryan G. Krepak, of Northbrook, and Ray I. Krepak, of Northbrook, were both charged with domestic battery following a June 26 incident at a home. Police said both defendants were involved in a physical altercation, and during the argument, another family member was pushed. Both defendants were charged with domestic battery. Their court date was set for July 2.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
A resident in the 1900 block of Birch Road reported at 10:38 a.m. June 27, that home surveillance footage showed a male walking up to a 2018 Subaru parked in the driveway and trying to open the doors. Police said the person was unsuccessful and walked away.

DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE
Chrishawn P. Crawford, of Chicago, was charged with illegally driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop at 5:04 p.m. June 28, near Dundee and Skokie roads. Police said an officer stopped a 2008 white Chevrolet with expired license plates and learned Crawford’s license was suspended. His court date was set for July 31.
ONLINE THEFT
A resident in the 1000 block of Western Avenue reported at 5:42 p.m. June 28, that someone hacked into an American Airlines account and redeemed reward miles for gift cards. Police said the offender redeemed miles for three Lululemon gift cards totaling $545.
DUI/HIT-AND-RUN
Joseph P. Gray, of Northbrook, was charged with driving under the influence following a hit-and-run crash reported at 9:15 p.m. June 28. Police said a witness saw a 2025 blue Hyundai Elantra travel through an intersection, strike a median curb and a tree, and leave the scene.
Police said Gray parked the vehicle at his residence and called an Uber. Officers located the Uber and found Gray in the back seat. A witness told police Gray had been drinking before the crash. Police said Gray appeared intoxicated, failed field sobriety tests and admitted to being intoxicated and leaving the crash scene.
Gray was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08, and illegal transportation of alcohol. Police said his BAC was .118. His court date was set for July 20.
VIOLATION OF ORDER OF PROTECTION
Jorge Fuentes Jr., of Chicago, was charged with violating an order of protection at 9:40 p.m. June 28, after police said he contacted the petitioner of the order. His court date was set for July 2.
THEFT
A person reported at 4:56 p.m. June 29, that a Vacheron Constantin watch was stolen from a locked locker at a fitness center in the 1100 block of Skokie Boulevard. Police said the complainant secured belongings in the locker and returned about an hour later to find the watch missing. Nothing else was missing. The watch was valued at $39,500.
SUSPENDED REGISTRATION
Jurado C. Ojeda, of Northfield, was charged following a traffic stop at 11:50 p.m. June 29, near Landwehr and Dundee roads. Police said an officer stopped a 2023 gray Kia Forte with suspended and expired registration. Ojeda was charged with suspended registration and expired registration. The court date was set for July 20.
BANK FRAUD
A resident in the 2600 block of Appletree Lane reported at 12:09 p.m. July 1, that someone illegally accessed a bank account and withdrew $100 by unknown means.
DUI
Laurin E. Starck, of Northbrook, was charged with DUI and driving while license suspended following a wellbeing check at 8:01 p.m. July 1.
Police said an officer responded to a report of a child left inside a vehicle in the 1100 block of Shermer Road. The officer could not find the vehicle at that location, then went to the owner’s address to check on everyone because of the heat.
When the officer arrived, Starck had just returned home in a 2025 blue Volkswagen Atlas, police said. Starck appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests, according to police. Starck was charged with DUI and driving while license suspended. The court date was set for July 31.
VIOLATION OF ORDER OF PROTECTION
Macario Rivas-Garcia, of Chicago, was charged with violating an order of protection following a July 1 incident in the 1400 block of Landwehr Road. Police said Rivas-Garcia messaged the petitioner several times, violating the court order. A court date had not been set.
