7-Eleven Robbed On Shermer Road In Northbrook: Police
An estimated $2,000 in cash was taken from the register during the Thursday night incident.

NORTHBROOK, IL — A 7-Eleven was robbed at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday at 1512 Shermer Road, Northbrook, according to police. Two men — described as black, between the ages of 18-24, and seen on video surveillance — went behind the counter to pull out the cash drawer. They removed an estimated $2,000 in cash with no weapon displayed or implied.
The men were seen entering a dark-colored Toyota Scion that fled southbound.
Police told Patch that Glenbrook North High School was on lockdown during the incident. It was released after it was determined the two men fled in a vehicle and were no longer on foot. A patrol unit was also sent to GBN for security.
