85-Year-Old Northbrook Woman Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver: Police
Police released images of an SUV and a sketch of a man who reportedly fled after hitting a Northbrook senior, sending her to the hospital.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Police are searching for a man who struck an elderly Northbrook woman with a car in a parking lot and fled the scene last month. Investigators Thursday released images from security cameras and a sketch of a suspect. Shortly before 11:30 a.m. on July 26, emergency personnel were called to the parking lot of the Plaza Del Prado Shopping Center in the 2700 block of Pfingsten Road, according to Glenview police.
An 85-year-old woman who was struck by an SUV was taken to Glenbrook Hospital for treatment. Police were told the driver briefly stopped but fled the scene. The suspect was described as about 5-foot, 11-inches tall, in his 50s with a medium build, an olive-colored complexion and dark-colored graying hair, according to a release.
Police said he was wearing a baseball hat and possibly a blue Chicago Cubs shirt.

His vehicle (pictured in stills from security cameras) was described as a dark gray Jeep Liberty, according to Sgt. Jim Foley.

Police also provided a sketch of the driver involved in the incident.
