Alleged Excessive Speeders Detained in Northbrook: Cops
Woman reports jewelry stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in garage.

SPEEDING 40+ OVER LIMIT
Dillon J. Millholland, 22, Pleasant Prairie, Wisc. was stopped at Skokie Hwy. and Lake Cook Road at 6:48 a.m. on May 15 and charged with speeding over 40 mph over the posted limit and uninsured motor vehicle. Officers observed the defendant’s vehicle travelling at 82 mph in a posted 40 mph zone eastbound on Lake Cook Rd. near Skokie Hwy.

THEFT
A resident in the 900 block of Voltz Road reported that someone stole a shrub from the east side of his driveway on May 15 between 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. An estimated loss is $30.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE
Diane K. Wade, 26, 525 Banyan was stopped at Dundee and Waukegan roads at 3:01 a.m. on May 17 and charged with driving while license suspended, no insurance and registration suspended for no insurance. Officers stopped the defendant’s vehicle. A check of the driver’s Illinois driver’s license reported that it was suspended.
SPEEDING (GREATER THAN 35 MPH OVER THE LIMIT)
Prakash Gupta, 31, Buffalo Grove was stopped at Skokie Blvd. and Lake Cook Rd. at 1:34 p.m. on May 17 and charged with speeding (greater than 35 MPH over posted limit). Officers stopped the defendant’s vehicle was travelling at 78 in a posted 40 mph zone. He was placed under arrest, processed and released after posting bond.
BURGLARY
A complainant in the 2200 block of Asbury reported at 12:30 p.m. on May 19 that approximately a month ago she discovered that someone had entered her vehicle which was parked in the garage. Later, the complainant discovered that jewelry was missing from a suitcase which she had placed in the garage. Complainant believes that both incidents occurred at the same time.
RETAIL THEFT
Roger R. Bowen, 19, Evanston was charged with retail theft at 4:20 p.m. on May 18 in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Rd. Store security observed the defendant steal $95.16 worth of merchandise from the store. The offender was apprehended in the parking lot by store security.
IDENTITY THEFT
A complainant in the 3400 block of River Falls Dr. discovered at 9:42 p.m. on May 18 his wallet was stolen from a fitness center in Highland Park. Later the complainant learned that a credit card from the wallet was used to make purchases at Macy’s and the Apple Store.
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED
Fernando Garduno-Gil, 30, Highwood was stopped at Dundee and Waukegan roads at 12:27 p.m. on May 21 and cited for driving while license suspended and using an electronic communication device while driving. The defendant’s vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. Officers learned that his Illinois driver’s license was suspended.
