Alleged Threatening Texts And Voicemails Land Man in Jail for Stalking

The Rolling Meadows man had an order of protection against him.

A Rolling Meadows man faces multiple charges he left threatening voicemails with a woman who has an order of protection against him.

Northbrook police arrested Michael A. Maniacek Jr., 24 May 1 in the 2000 block of Maple Ave. after an investigation began when the victim contacted police reporting “a series of text and voicemail messages that were threatening in nature.”

According to police, detectives were able to determine that the messages were sent by Maniacek Jr., a person familiar to the victim and had an active Order of Protection.

Maniacek, charged with aggravated stalking and violation of an order of protection, is currently being held by the Illinois Department Of Corrections for violating parole.
