NORTHBROOK, IL — The Northbrook Park District's annual "Spring Tea" event is set to return next month. The program is designed as a shared experience for adults and children.
"Spring Tea" is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 2, at Techny Prairie Activity Center, 180 Anets Drive.
According to park district, families can enjoy light appetizers, refreshments, arts and crafts, and story time with a princess. Participants also will decorate their own flowerpots and receive soil and flower seeds to plant at home. A pianist will perform animated film tunes during the event.
Pricing is listed per adult-child pair, with added costs for additional attendees. The cost is $65 for residents and $85 for nonresidents. Additional persons are $19 for residents and $25 for nonresidents.
"The Spring Tea event is a time where adults and children alike can experience a ‘royal’ tea party, with a memorable visit from a special princess that is sure to make any child believe in fairy tales," said Maria Warren, recreation supervisor for the Northbrook Park District. "We love being able to celebrate the beauty of the growing world around us this spring season, and we look forward to the fancy outfits, big smiles and quality time with families!"
