NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the department. Tsogbadrakh Tsagaabandi, of Northbrook, was charged with domestic battery at 7:22 p.m. May 24 after police said he struck a family member in the face several times. He was assigned a May 29 court date.
Police said an officer saw a gray Dodge Durango traveling west on Dundee Road near Skokie Boulevard at 2:17 a.m. May 22. The suspected driver had several arrest warrants and was suspected of being involved in recent burglaries, according to police. The officer tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled, reached 65 mph, disobeyed a red light and left Northbrook, police said.
Staff at a pharmacy in the 900 block of Willow Road reported a fraudulent prescription at 8:43 a.m. May 22. Police said a man dropped off a prescription for 60 tablets of oxycodone. After he left, a pharmacist reviewed the paperwork and believed it appeared fake. Staff contacted the prescribing doctor’s office and confirmed the prescription was fraudulent, according to police. The fake prescription and surveillance footage were turned over to police.
A person reported a theft at 1:35 p.m. May 25 in the 4100 block of Dundee Road. Police said the person placed a backpack inside an unlocked gym locker at a fitness center. When he returned, the backpack was gone. The backpack contained a wallet, ID, credit card and laptop computer. The total loss was valued at more than $115.
Staff at a pharmacy retail store in the 900 block of Willow Road reported a retail theft at 6:24 p.m. May 25. Police said a man entered the store, grabbed a shopping cart, filled it with 10 bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label and left without paying. The bottles were valued at more than $420.
