Her selection followed a search process that included community feedback, administrative interviews and a parent/teacher interview team, according to the district.

“The Greenbriar community identified that they wanted someone who is student-centered, someone who shows warmth, humor, and interest in others, and someone who demonstrates excellent communication skills,” Superintendent Dr. Jason Pearson said in a statement. “Ms. Dames possesses all of these qualities and has a deep understanding of Greenbriar’s school climate and culture, and how to best support the school community moving forward.”

Dames said she is grateful for the opportunity and excited to return to Greenbriar.

“One of the things I love most about the Greenbriar community is the strong partnership between staff and families, which supports our students as they grow and develop into lifelong learners,” Dames said in a statement. “I want to thank Dr. Pearson for this opportunity, and I look forward to reconnecting with the students, staff, and families soon.”

Dames holds a master’s degree in education administration from Benedictine University and a master’s degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
