7 Northbrook Student Workers Receive $1.5K College Grants

Covenant Living of Northbrook honored graduating members of its dining services team as they prepare to continue their education.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Seven graduating high school students who work on Covenant Living of Northbrook's dining services team recently received $1,500 educational grants.

The senior living community recognized the students during its annual grants presentation event. Each recipient received a certificate announcing the award, which will be paid directly to the student's college or university account.

The grants are intended to help ease the cost of continuing education.

The awards are funded through the Merry Market committee, a resident-led fundraising organization at Covenant Living.

"We are proud to recognize these outstanding students for their hard work and dedication," resident and Merry Market Treasurer Bob Martin said.

"The Merry Market committee's ongoing commitment to supporting education reflects the generosity of our residents and their investment in the future success of our team members."

Covenant Living said the annual grant program recognizes the achievements of its student employees while supporting their next steps in higher education.
