NORTHBROOK, IL — Northbrook Brewfest will return later this month with craft beer, cider, live music and a special toast celebrating the village's 125th anniversary.
The sixth annual event, hosted by the Northbrook Park District and Village of Northbrook, will run from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Village Green Park, 1810 Walters Ave.
The beverage lineup includes Topo Chico, Right Bee Cider, RationALE, Revolution Brewing, Dogfish Head, Sketchbook Brewing, Cayman Jack, White Claw, New Holland, Lakefront Brewery, Yuengling, Warsteiner and Two Brothers Brewing Company.
Live music will be provided by Velvet Rose Band, which performs 1970s R&B, Motown, funk, blues and dance music.
The event will also feature a photo booth and games.
A special toast marking Northbrook's 125th anniversary is planned for around 5:45 p.m. during intermission.
Food will be available for purchase from Landmark Inn Bar & Grille, or attendees can bring their own picnic.
"Northbrook Brewfest is a great opportunity to bring friends and neighbors together to celebrate our community," Village Board President Kathryn Ciesla said. "This year, we're especially excited to raise a glass to Northbrook's 125th anniversary."
The event is limited to people 21 and older. Infants, children and dogs will not be allowed, and outside beverages are prohibited. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
Advance tasting tickets cost $49 and include a Brewfest glass and 15 5-ounce drink tickets. Non-tasting tickets cost $30.
Prices increase at the gate Sept. 19 to $59 for tasting tickets and $39 for non-tasting tickets.
