• Get an Inside Look at UL Solutions Windstorm Testing (ul.com) — A UL Solutions lab in Northbrook is quietly helping make buildings safer nationwide by stress-testing doors, windows, and other components against hurricane- and tornado-force winds. An NBC News crew recently toured the facility, watching engineers fire lumber from an air cannon and run pressure tests that inform building codes and protect schools, libraries, homes, and hospitals from severe weather damage.
