Annual Family Dance Moves To New 'High-End Venue' In Northbrook

NORTHBROOK, IL — This is year's "Light Up the Night" family dance will be at a new spot. The annual Northbrook Park District affair will bring all the fun to the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel.

According to organizers, the event on Feb. 6 will feature dinner, DJ music, a photo booth, a variety of games and an ice cream bar at 933 Skokie Blvd., Northbrook. "Light up the Night" takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $165 for residents and $209 for nonresidents for each adult/child pair. Additional children are $79 for residents and $99 for nonresidents.

"'Light Up the Night' is an evening devoted to celebrating meaningful connections and creating lasting memories," said Jeremy Goedke, Northbrook Park District recreation supervisor. "It is a privilege to host an event that brings our community together in such a joyful and memorable way."

The dance was held at a park district facility last year, after being held at a local hotel in prior years. This year, it will be held again at a hotel, albeit a different one.
