Antisemitic Flyers Found At Several Homes: Northbrook Police Blotter
The flyers, found in a number of driveways, did not contain any threats and appear to be dropped at random, according to police.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE
- Diogenes Y. Reyes-Chal, of Jersey City, New Jersey, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 4:47 p.m Aug. 6, in the 1800 block of Somerset Lane. Officers responded to a residence for a suspicious person at the front door. A court date of Sept. 20 was assigned.
- Juan Bahena Arcos, of Park City, is accused of speeding, no valid driver's license, driving while license revoked, aggravated driving while license revoked, and was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Aug. 10, at Route 41 and Lake Cook Road. A court date of Sept. 6 was assigned.
UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON

Theodore J. Annes, of Wheeling, is accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, violation of a no stalking order, assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested at 3:38 a.m. Aug. 9, in the 3100 block of Cherry Lane. Annes had returned to a person's workplace after being warned by the police and violated the no stalking order. When Annes was taken into custody, police found a handgun and drug paraphernalia on his person. A future court date had not been set at the time of the report.
FAILURE TO APPEAR
Police responded to a car crash at 4:35 p.m. Aug. 9, in the 900 block of Willow Road. When checking the license status of both drivers, they discovered that Lee J. Sims III, of Chicago, had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear from a previous battery arrest. Lee was taken into custody. The court date is set for Sep. 30.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Edward Jimenez Catalan, of Prospect Heights, is accused of driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, disobeying a traffic signal, and was arrested at 2:16 a.m. Aug. 11, at Waukegan Road and Chestnut Avenue. A court date of Sept. 27 was assigned.
VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION
Edwin Jimenez Catalan, of Prospect Heights, had a warrant out of Lake County for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested at 3:18 a.m. Aug. 11, at Waukegan Road and Chestnut Avenue. He was taken to Lake County Jail.

INCIDENTS
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
Police saw a 2022 red KIA K5 exit an apartment complex at 1:07 a.m. Aug. 8, in the 1000 block of Skokie Boulevard. The officers were familiar with this vehicle because of past crimes. After the vehicle drove away, officers checked the parking lot and found a 2002 blue Honda Civic missing its catalytic converter. The owner was notified of the theft.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
A resident of the 3000 block of White Pines Lane reported at 7:52 a.m. Aug. 9, finding an antisemitic flyer on her driveway. When officers arrived, they found several more on other residents' driveways. The flyers did not contain any threats and appear to be dropped at random.
RETAIL THEFT
The loss prevention staff at a store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road reported a retail theft at 11:45 a.m. Aug. 10. The staff said a designer wallet and handbag were stolen from the store.
