Backyard Fire Pit Dispute; Locked Car Stolen: Blotter
A resident reported a dispute they were having with a neighbor over a fire pit; a locked car was stolen: Northbrook Police Blotter.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
- An officer on a routine patrol at 4:04 p.m. July 4 found new graffiti at the entrance of the skate park at Techny Prairie Park, 1700 block of Techny Road.
- An officer on a routine patrol at 4:35 p.m. July 4 found new graffiti on the pillars of a gazebo in Village Green Park, 1800 block of Walters.
THREATENING TELEPHONE CALLS

A person at Buffalo Wild Wings, 1000 block of Willow Road, reported at 9:15 a.m. July 6 they had been receiving threatening telephone calls from someone they know for the past several days.
STOLEN AUTO

A resident in the 1000 block of Keystone Avenue called police at 11:56 a.m. July 6 to report that during the overnight hours someone took their locked, parked vehicle.
THEFT
A person reported at 8:17 p.m. July 6 that they had ridden their bicycle to McDonald's, 200 block of Skokie Boulevard, and left it unsecured in bushes near the restaurant. An unknown person removed the bicycle from the bushes prior to the complainant's return to the bicycle.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A resident in the 1300 block of Ridge Road reported at 11:49 a.m. July 8 that they were having a dispute with their neighbor over the placement of a backyard fire pit that the neighbor was constructing.
