Bank Robbed in Northbrook Monday

The FBI is investigating a takeover bank robbery that occurred at the Fifth Third Bank on Skokie Boulevard just after noon.

NORTHBROOK, IL - The Fifth Third Bank on Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook was robbed Monday afternoon.

The FBI's Chicago office has opened an investigation into what is being described as a "takeover" bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank branch at 240 Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook at 12:43 p.m., according to Bandit Tracker.

There are two suspects. Both are black men.

The first suspect is described as being approximately 22 years old with a dark complexion, 5'8" to 6'0" and having a thin build. He was wearing a green knit hat, black North Face jacket, black jeans, black boots and black gloves during the robbery.

No description was provided of the second suspect.

The suspect described is also believed to be responsible for the robbery of a PNC Bank in Zion earlier in the day.
