Bank Robber Strikes Fifth Third Branch In Northbrook
The FBI is investigating after a man wearing glasses and a Chicago Bears hat robbed a Northbrook bank Monday afternoon, police said.

NORTHBROOK , IL — Police said bespectacled man in a Chicago Bears hat robbed a Northbrook bank Monday. Around 4 p.m., police got a call that a bank robbery had just occurred at the Fifth Third Bank at 1300 Meadow Road.
The robber appeared to be between 30 and 40 years old, according to police. He was wearing glasses, a gray sweatshirt and jeans, according to a statement from Deputy Chief Dan Strickland.
Officers and a police dog searched the area without finding the suspect. It was not immediately clear if the man presented a weapon — or if any bank staff other than the teller was aware of the incident at the time of the robbery.

An FBI spokesperson said no reward had been offered but did not specify whether or not the robber was considered armed and dangerous. Police asked anyone who sees the man or has information about the incident to contact the Chicago office of the FBI at 312-421-6700.
