NORTHBROOK, IL — The spirit of giving back is very important to the residents of Covenant Living of Northbrook. The senior living community proves this with its annual Holly Fair where they raise funds to support community organizations by selling items handmade by residents such as crafts, needlework, woodworking items and more.

At a recent luncheon, donations from sales at the fair were given to the Northbrook police and fire departments, the Northbrook Public Library and the Northfield Township Food Pantry.

"We believe in being good neighbors and providing these donations is our way of showing appreciation for everything these organizations do," Bob Martin, Covenant Living of Northbrook resident and Holly Fair committee treasurer, tells Patch. "It is just part of our culture here to pay it forward. These groups do so much for the citizens in the Northbrook area."
