Bicyclist Struck By Work Truck In Northbrook: Police

NORTHBROOK, IL — A 53-year-old bicyclist was struck by a work truck belonging to an area business Monday afternoon in the 500 block of Lindberg Lane. Police tell Patch the bicyclist was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries following the incident.

The incident occurred at around 3:46 p.m. and Northbrook firefighters and paramedics assisted the bicyclist shortly thereafter. Contrary to a different media outlet reporting it was a hit-and-run crash, Northbrook police tell Patch the business and driver are cooperating with the investigation, exchanging insurance information.
